wish life was like stardew valley. wake up. pet dog. harvest and water crops. head into town. chat with the locals. pick some flowers. try to get the hot emo boy to like u. so simple yet so peaceful.
Love how by late game in stardew valley you can cast spells and teleport and change the weather and talk to animals and commune with spirits and dwarves and shadow entities but the only person who even acknowledges that you aren't a normal farmer and you've literally become a wizard is the one other wizard in town
ooooh! What about Leah from sdv? She's my favorite! :D
i think the coolest thing about weird furry art is the way people embrace species that are considered 'ugly' for the very reasons theyve been told they were
i dont know how to word it exactly but when people draw themselves very honestly very humanly despite drawing themself as a funny little animal i think thats awesome. i think people and animals are both weird as hell and i think when someone draws upon that its awesome to me. everything 2 me. something something. learning self worth through the extension and recognition of the self
okay but my skin and hair and nails have been so much healthier since i started cooking stuff in oil instead of cooking spray or boiling 🧐 it could be that im just happier because the food im eating doesnt taste like shit anymore so im eating More of the healthy foods i need but im choosing to believe its the sesame oil because i love her

okay ive finally figured a way to put into words why i hate 'what did x do wrong?' 'isnt x thing bad/harmful?' used as grand sweeping statements as to whether or not its okay to engage with or use certain phrases/terms/fashions. etc
this video essay about hipsters and conservatism helped me put it to words
if you dont feel like watching, alice cappelle explains how the hipster, originally a term for a young white gentrifier who, in an effort to seem unique and in fashion, co opts liberal talking points and moves to urban cultural areas (usually inhabited primarily by people of color) while not fully integrating into those communities in order to maintain their individuality... as well as the privileges they have by being well off and white... and how that has morphed into a conservative fashion/lifestyle.
she goes on to explain how phrases like 'locally made' 'made in france/usa' (she is a french essayist) and even eco friendly efforts are being co opted by nationalist and conservative politicians to further their goals of white supremacy/xenophobia under the guise of what is otherwise agreed upon to be a 'good thing'.
very few people would disagree taking care of the planet or supporting local craftsman/eateries is a BAD thing, but when your REASON for doing those things is based in racism or white supremacy - or doesnt take into account how you are doing it is INFLUENCED by those things, it can BECOME harmful.
this is why i despise when people ask whether or not xyz thing 'is bad' 'is homophobic' 'is transphobic' without reflecting on WHAT it is thats being criticized. sometimes, yes, there are things that at their very core ARE based in values directly harmful to minority groups (like nazism, obviously) but there are also MANY MORE instances of something that have ways they can be engaged with/practiced that are harmful, and THAT is what was being pointed out.
so many people are incapable of distinguishing the difference of 'you are doing this thing poorly' from 'you should never ever engage with/do this thing again' and it drives me CRAZY
